Python Job: Internship Data Engineer Python

We are seeking a highly motivated and talented Python Data Engineer Intern to join our team. As a Data Engineer Intern, you will work with data scientists and software engineers to develop, build and maintain scalable data pipelines, data storage systems, and data infrastructure using Python. You will be responsible for developing efficient data processing systems to ensure that our data is easily accessible and usable for various business needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop scalable data pipelines to ingest, process, and store large amounts of data
• Work with data scientists to help them integrate and leverage data in their models
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and develop scalable data storage systems
• Develop efficient and reliable ETL processes to move data across systems
• Develop and maintain automated data quality checks and validation procedures
• Learn new tools, technologies, and programming languages as needed

Qualifications:

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, or a related field
• Strong understanding of programming concepts and experience in Python development
• Knowledge of databases and data structures
• Knowledge of data processing and data engineering principles, such as ETL and data warehousing
• Experience in data engineering technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, or Kafka
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Self-motivated with a desire to learn and grow

Preferred Qualifications:

• Familiarity with cloud technologies such as AWS or Azure
• Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI
• Knowledge of machine learning and data science techniques
• Familiarity with SQL and NoSQL databases

This is a paid internship position, and the duration is 6 months. The position is based in Canada, and the successful candidate will work closely with experienced data engineers and data scientists in a dynamic and challenging environment.
